Arènes d'Arles (Roman ampthitheatre it was built in the first or second century BC. Now a day it houses Corridas or camarguaises (bloodless bullfighting) at Easter and the Rice Festa in September.
Two-tiered building, it is one of the most prominent and well-known tourist attraction in the city. Built in 90 AD, the amphitheatre held over 20,000 spectators of chariot races and bloody hand-to-hand battles.
