My wife and l were on a pilgrimage from France through Spain to Santiago de Compostela,we walked all day on narrow paths,up and down steep slopes. We arrived in Gurense,tired and hungry we got a place to stay at the monastery as well as food and drinks,we slept for 12 hours the next night. The place exudes peace, silence and friendliness, l could have stayed there for a longer time, but the trails beckoned.
