Behind The Lens
Location
This image was taken in my kitchen with just my camera, a flash and an umbrella. I'm a self tough photographer and I was experimenting with light. I love nature so this flower was a great subject for me.Time
It was around 2 PM, on a rainy Sunday. There was juste a little bit of natural light coming in from my patio door.Lighting
I main focus on that picture was the drops of water. I wanted to have something organic and natural.Equipment
I used a canon 6D with a canon 100mm lens. I used a tripod since you need a steady hand for macrophotography. I also used a flash with a trigger so I could move the light source.Inspiration
I just love nature, flowers, animals, leaves, trees, water. When you do macro photography, its like you are in another world. We see things differently.Editing
I did a little editing in lightroom to make sure I had the right exposure. In my camera bag
I always have my camera Canon 6D with me. For portrait, I love to use my Sigma 85mm 1.4 and canon 50 mm 1.4. For macro, I love my canon 100mm 2.8. I always have a flash with me, extra batteries, a cloth to clean my lenses and extra memory cards. I also carry a light diffuser.Feedback
Be patient. You won't get it the first shot. The more you work with lighting, the better you'll get.
