The Horsehead Nebula (aka Barnard 33) is a dark nebula (the material absorbs light) just "east" of Orion's Belt in the Orion constellation 1375 light years away.
The Flame Nebula (aka NGC 2024) is an emission nebula in the relatively same region as the Horsehead Nebula, with a cluster of young stars at its core.
The two Nebulae share a bright star called Alnitak between them, which is a blue supergiant with a whopping 2 magnitude, making it one of the brightest stars in its class.
