Behind The Lens

Location

This was taken in the early morning on a summer day this past year, during sunrise in North Collins NY.

Time

Early morning during sunrise, around 7,am.

Lighting

The sunlight through the trees casting such cool shadows onto the grass is what caught my eye. I prefer to shoot either during sunrise or sunset. I love to chase that golden glow!

Equipment

I used my Sony a7iii with my 24-70 2.8 lens. No flash, just natural golden glow!

Inspiration

It had all the elements of a beautiful scene. water, the sunrise, a gradient of vibrant colors in the sky and a cute little shed.

Editing

I performed my usual edits: enhanced colors, exposure, contrast, lowered blacks. I enhance the sky to my liking.

In my camera bag

I always have my main camera body, a Sony a7ii, my 24-70 2.8 lens, a 35, 50 and 85 mm primes. My second body is the Sony ,a7. I also carry an ocf and my 70-210 lens.

Feedback

Scope.out your location ahead of time and watch where the sun rises and sets. If you pay attention to your surroundings and plan out your shots you can get epic pics.
