The Lake Garda, or Benaco, is the largest Italian lake, with an area of about 370 km² (3rd depth after Como and Maggiore). Link among three regions, Lombardy (province of Brescia), Veneto (province of Verona) and Trentino-Alto Adige (province of Trento), is placed in parallel Adige, which is divided by the massif of Monte Baldo. To the north is narrow funnel while to the south it widens, surrounded by moraine hills which make the landscape more sweet.
