Beef Brisket BarBQ

Fairway Beef, A Large Volume Butcher Shop & Market Burns to the ground in a conflagration in 1986, Black Rock Turmpike, Fairfield CT.

I orginally shot this in 1986 with a Nikon F3 on TMax 400 I that I probably pushed to 1600 or 3200 ASA. It was then developed and printed by hand in my own basement darkroom (I was 18 at the time) and submitted it to what was then known as the Bridgeport Post (I believe 2nd largest Newspaper in the state at the time). This and a number of additional images that were lost or damaged were used over the period of a few weeks as this was big story because of the suspicious circumstances surrounding the blaze.Years later I scanned the only print I had remaining as the negatives were destroyed during a flood in my basement.
For many years I had also envisioned this the "Fireman" from the book "Farenheit 451" as there was no movie version at that point in time.
