This is our newest rescue, 12 year old, 2 pound Pepita! Yes. TWO POUNDS. She is about the size of a squirrel. She came to us with a really infected mouth full of gnarly teeth - she couldn't even eat properly or close her mouth. A major dental removed all of her teeth, and now she's happy, healthy, smiling, smells better, and her tongue is out permanently. She's a wonderful addition to our lives - an absolute joy - and everywhere we take her people stop and ask questions about her, and I get to talk about saving senior dogs from shelters. Win-win, baby.
