Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in my home studio. I have a really old camera that I bought just to make YouTube videos. It’s a canon t2i. I thought I’d try my hand photography once I had it. I got an inexpensive strobe and watched a lot of YouTube on portrait photography. The. One night I was messing around in the studio and I took this pic

Time

It’s hard to remember exactly, I believe it was in the evening. It would have had to age been one night after I got home from work. I’m just a hobby photographer.

Lighting

The lighting is just and FP strobe and a godex 38in octagon softbox with a grid attached.

Equipment

Canon t2i and canon 50mm 1.8 or nifty fifty

Inspiration

Just practicing my portrait skills on myself in the studio.

Editing

Basic editing in darktable. Nothin fancy

In my camera bag

Im a hobbyist so nothing fancy here either. Just my t2i my nifty fifty and my 24mm pancake lens.

Feedback

It’s all about the lighting. I watched a ton of videos teaching on lighting placement for portraits.
