Location
Photo was taken in Prague, Czech Republic. Setting is a back alley which was a block off of the main street.Time
This was in early winter and taken before sunset in the late afternoon.Lighting
The rain had stopped earlier in the day and the clouds were lightening up so the colors of the scene really popped. Smoke from the vents and chimneys helped to make the the scene a bit more dramatic.Equipment
I carry a Sony Cybershot with me at all times when I am unable to bring my other camera equipment.Inspiration
I am a self proclaimed street photographer and I go looking for opportunities like this all the time. I was in Prague for meetings related to my "other" job and could see the potential for a good shot of the roofs and the buildings from about a block away. It was worth the discovery and for a street photographer, the shot unfolded better than most.Editing
Very little. I adjusted the colors of the houses and the sky a bit to make the scene look a bit closer to what I was seeing with my eyes.In my camera bag
Sony Cybershot and either a Samsung or iphone are always with me. When I am able, My backpack contains a Nikon D750, a Canon EOS, 3 or 4 associated Nikkor and Canon lenses along with a flash, a tripod and a series of standard filters.Feedback
I spend a lot of time walking around looking around for what could be the right shot. Many of the shots I take require a bit of patience to get the right shot,,, lighting, action, framing, etc. My advice is that unless you are on a specific assignment, take the picture that pleases you.
