This picture is taking during one of the many walks I do with Lewis, my dog. Lewis is a long haired Weimaraner and he is my biggest inspiration.Time
I shot this in the morning while the sun was still low.Lighting
I usually shoot my subjects in natural light and back lit.Equipment
For this picture I used canon’s 85L at f1.6 on a 5d mkIII bodyInspiration
It is actually my dog who inspires me the most. Photography has always been part of my life but is was when Lewis got into my life my photography really got a boostEditing
I really like to post process my photo’s in photoshop. I use a lot of overlays to add texture, light or other things to my photosIn my camera bag
When I’m outdoors with Lewis I only carry a camera and one of my 2 favorite lenses, the 85L or the 70-200 IS 2.8. When I shoot other dogs I usually add an off camera strobe to my bag to make sure I can also handle bad light situations.Feedback
Just let the dog do as he feels, don’t try to pose them too much. They won’t like it and you’ll see it in the picture, taking away all the magic.
