Location
I like to travel and search new spots inside my own country, and on this day i went to Leça da Palmeira, to take some seascape shots at the beach.Time
Right after the disappearance of the sun, on the blue hour.Lighting
For this shot i really imagined a blue and cold mood, like a fairytale or fantasy story, so I've prepared all in my mind and tried other shots on other locations, as I've waited for the right light for this particular image!Equipment
First of all, without my giottos tripod i couldn't have made the shot. It was a long exposure and the need of a sturdy tripod was a must. Then i used a canon 7d with a tokina 11-16. Then i used a yn 468 speedlight to enlight a bit more the candle area.Inspiration
I really don't know... I simply look at this spot and then i imagined the photo. I love the displacement of the rocks, and the spot itself!Editing
Yes, I love post-production as much as photograph! Indeed, I really like to polish my shots. Vibrance , sharpness, clarity, wb, and contrast, was the general editing. The rest was just some local adjustments around the candle area.In my camera bag
I carry most of the time all my lenses, filters, two yn speedlights, cable remote, extension tubes and most important my camera, a Canon 50D. My lenses are: Canon 10-22 3.5-4.5, Sigma 17-50 2.8, Canon 100mm macro, Sigma 150-500 and canon 70-210 f4. I like to be prepared for any potential shot!Feedback
Every place and every trip could be a potential photographic oportunity, so stay sharp to get it! Most of the time, photography need time, persistance and a creative mind, so prepare to be patience and be focused on your objective. The addition of some vintage items to a landscape could give to the image a great message to! And finaly, enjoy the moment and the show that mother nature gives to us! The best thing that a photo can give to you, beside of the memories of when you have taken it, is a history, an experience and good feelings!!
