On a (rare) cloudy day in Lanzarote, storm clouds reflect in pools of water retained in the volcanic rocks lining the coast, forming a stark contrast with the ocean beyond. Something about the calm of the near water reflecting the stormy sky seems to lend a feeling of inevitability… as though the immediate stillness will soon be disrupted. Shot in Lanzarote as part of my work on eBook ‘Photographing Lanzarote’, which uncovers some of the lesser known beauty spots on the island.
