This was one of the biggest dust storms to hit our region that I had ever seen. The dust was swept up from the Pinery Bushfire grounds in South Australia as a cold front approached and was spectacular to watch as it approached.

wow.....thanks for sharing this. We had what was called the Dust Bowl here in the US back in the 30's I believe. I guess this is what it must of looked like to all those that lived through that time.

Location
I was home at Nain on the edge of the Barossa Valley, South AustraliaTime
I remember walking up the hill behind our place and noticed some dust being picked up after midday.Lighting
Just used the natural lighting from the sunEquipment
Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge as that was the closest camera I was able to get my hand on at the time. Took photo in panoramic mode and hand held.Inspiration
We had a bushfire scorch around 85,000 hectares of land in our beautiful state of South Australia after a very dry hot summer . As we were to busy to take photos of the bushfire as we were escaping I decided to take this photo of dust picked up in the fire ground to show the affects that a fire can leave behind after it has scorched the land. Farmers lost tones of vital top soil of their cropping land due to the above average hot summer and felt the need to take this photo just to show how climate change is affecting all of us globally.Editing
