Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in a field next to my house. I decided to go wander around and play with the lighting as the sun was setting.

Time

This was taken in the evening on a fall day as the sun was setting.

Lighting

I wanted to experiment with lighting, since the sun was setting it was a perfect time.

Equipment

I used my Canon EOS Rebel T5 Camera with my Canon 55-250 mm Lens.

Inspiration

I hadn't spent a lot of time with back lighting and wanted to play around with it. I have really been into the Macro photography so I felt like doing some macro pictures with the lighting from the sunset. I felt the combination would work well together.

Editing

I made some color adjustments to give it the right tone, I liked having the contrast of warm and cool. I made some minor adjustments to make the photo a little more crisp. That's about all the editing I did for this photo.

In my camera bag

I usually keep the basics. I really haven't accumulated a lot of equipment yet, I am still beginning. I have my Canon EOS Rebel T-5 and I usually have either my stock lens or my 55-250mm Lens.

Feedback

My best advice would be to take it when the sun is setting, find the subject you want and line it up with the sun behind it to give it the right glow. Using a macro lens is best to get the close up detail.
