Behind The Lens

Location

These wild daisies were across the street from my house, alongside the road, in Sequim, WA.

Time

It was the evening as the sun was setting.

Lighting

It's at the end of the golden hour. All lighting and pretty much all my lighting is natural.

Equipment

Canon EOS Rebel T3, 18-55mm lens. f/7.1, 1/125, ISO100, 55mm. No flash, tripod.

Inspiration

Experimenting, practicing. The sunset drew me out.

Editing

I didn't have to do much post-processing. I believe I cranked up the shadows to allow the petals of the two closest flowers to be viewed.

In my camera bag

I don't use the Canon Rebel T3 much anymore. It was my first DSLR back in 2011. I finally upgraded to the Canon 70D. I still have the same kit lens, 18-55mm and 75-300mm. I have a few ND and macro filters. And I have an Altura external flash. I don't make enough money to have more than basic equipment.

Feedback

Have your camera at all times because you never know when you'll be at the place, at the right time.
