Location
This photo was taken in Esmoriz, on a lake that stands very close to the beach of this town.Time
The time when this photo has been made, was moments before the sunset happened... the sky was filled up with a great range of collors, the within a couple of minutes has been changed to the typical orange tones.Lighting
I went to this location to photograph the sunset, but the light before it happened was the best light. The sun was at my left and give me the grandient in the sky. The reflection on the lake, made the rest of the photo.Equipment
For this photo, i have used my canon 50D, with my trusty Tokina 11-16 f2.8 To get the best of the reflections, on the front of the lens was a CPL. To make sure that the shot has it's maximum potencial, the camera was placed on my giottos tripodInspiration
The light, the sky, the lake, push me to make the photo. After a little seach, the twig of wood lend the image, the gidding line that i need, and complete the foreground.Editing
Vibrance, sharpness, clarity, wb, and contrast, was the general editing. The rest was just some local adjustments. In my camera bag
I have a tendency to have all my stuff in the bag, just in case, so my Canon 50D, my Tokina 11-16, my Sigma 17-50, my Canon 100mm macro, and my tele Canon 70-300, are a constant presence in my bag. The rest was my tripod giottos, my cpl and nd filters, remote, flashes, triggers, cf cards and batteries!Feedback
Don't wait for the sunset to take photos. Sometimes before the sunset itself, we have some great light. Have a cpl with you all the time. It can be use to remove reflections, but it can increase them too! Visit areas with lakes, or water in general, because this natural mirrors can give your photos another dimension.
