The inner harbor in Baltimore is filled with interesting and historic maritime activity. There are old sailing boats as well as more modern ships. Wonderful place to walk around and explore. As I recall this rope was just lying on pavement, easily accessible by me. It may have been on a boat, but I don't recall specifically. I had numerous shots of the big picture scene, but I wanted to come in close and capture the little details of the maritime spectacle.Editing
I just used the sliders available in iphoto at the time.In my camera bag
I carry a Sony a6000 and a Sony Nex-6. Each one has a lens on it so I don't have to keep switching lenses...between a 17-55mm and a 50-210mm. I also carry a 14mm and a fish-eye lens. I have trouble with tripods. I am usually moving around and do not stay in the same place for more than a few minutes.Feedback
My advice here would be to get the big picture and then gradually come in closer and closer to the small and interesting objects that are all around you. Look up. Look straight down. Turn around and look behind you.
