This islet is called Hovinsholmen which means in old Norse "pagan temple meadow". It is located on the southern tip of the Helgoya island which means "holy island" and is the largest freshwater island in Lake Mjosa and in Norway.
The capture emphasizes the stony bridge crossing over to the tiny islet Hovinsholmen in lake Mjøsa during wintertime, Hedmark county, SE Norway.
This stony pathway is inundated during summertime, when the lake holds way higher water levels than in wintertime. To reach out to the islet in the summer you need a boat as the water level doesn't allow you to walk by.
