Location
This photo was taken in Boise City, OK. It is part of a historic museum that featured a home from the dust bowl era in Oklahoma.Time
We were staying overnight in an RV park next door to the museum. Before leaving the RV park late morning I wanted to visit the museum and capture some images.Lighting
The available light was from the partly cloudy sky overhead.Equipment
I used a hand-held Sony A7RIII with a Tamron 28-200mm lens.Inspiration
The plain and simple construction of the house was inspiring to me. I am drawn to old houses and like to explore how people lived in the past. The texture of the building materials draws me in.Editing
The original image is shot in RAW and then converted to a black and white jpeg image using On1 Photo Raw 2023.In my camera bag
I usually shoot with my Canon 7D Mark II and my favorite lens is the Canon 10-22mm ultrawide for most of my landscape photos. I use a 100-400mm zoom when needed. Recently I added to my collection a Sony A7RIII full-frame mirrorless camera and a Tamron 28-200mm zoom as my all-around lens.Feedback
I'm always trying to find something to photograph that other people may not take an interest in. I look at objects for patterns and textures.
