Since the time of day was not the best for shooting, I figured the only image would have to be tight on the face.Equipment
I used my Canon T4i and my 100-300 USM Canon Lens. I hand held the shotInspiration
I'm walking around this big event at TMS and I see this very tall character in this red alien costume. I walk up and realize he's on stilts over ten foot tall. I tried wide, med shots but nothing worked. He was looking down at some kids and I got on my back with my lens at 300mm and shot this CU of his face. It just all came together!!Editing
I brought to into Light Room and brought out the saturation just a bit.In my camera bag
Canon T4i, 18-135 STM lens, 100-300 USM lens from my film shooting days, it's a fast great lens.Feedback
Still photography is all about getting out there and shooting. You can't get the images if you're in bed sleeping. The early sunrise shooting is the best. The Sunset shooting is magical, get up early and stay past sunset, that where the images are waiting for you. I've started shooting video with my T4i what a great camera, it's all about just getting out there.
