Location
This photo was captured at lake Backsjon, close to Umea, Sweden.Time
I was lucky this day. I didnt have any plans for a photo trip, but noticed that there could be a possibility to see the northern light. I brought my head lamp and my camera bag, hoping to see the northern light. I wasnt expecting this show.Lighting
I just tried to adapt my settings based on how fast the light was moving.Equipment
This photo was shot on a Nikon Z9, with a Zeiss Milvus 15 mm f2.8. Mounted on a sturdy tripod.Inspiration
I normally hunt the northern light in the Winter. I was hoping that the lake this autumn evening could be a great mirror and it was.Editing
I Have used lightroom, where I Have applied noise reduction and increased the brightness. In my camera bag
A fullframe Nikon camera and a fast 50 mm lens is always in my camera backpack. A combination that can be used for many different photos.Feedback
To capture great pictures of the northern light, given that its a location where the northern light can be visible, my best is to have warm clothes and patience.
