Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was take in a 3 story parking lot with a great triangular opening in the center . South Africa , Johannesburg .

Time

This picture was taken on the 21st July 2022 at about 14:24 give or take 10 min. this was great for the lighting especially since it was an over cast day and the sun sets later during winter , this speared the harsh light from early morning sun and too soft light from sunsets .

Lighting

It was an over cast day and the models position let the light fall directly down onto them. The cherry on top was that the ground and surrounding walls where bright and allowed the light to reflect onto the model and lighten a lot of the shadows and bring warmth back into the models skin.

Equipment

I used a canon EOS 250D and a canon EFS 18-55mm macro. There was nothing more then that unless we count the SD card which is 62 GB and that i always shoot in RAW.

Inspiration

The models outfit was the real inspiration for the shot, we had limited spots to shoot so had to get creative with  what we had and i believe that's when so many of the best shots come out.

Editing

I use Light Room for color adjustments and grading, Photoshop for removing all distractions in the wall like cracks and lights.

In my camera bag

I only have have a canon EOS 250D with an 18-55mm and 75-300mm lens which are also canon.

Feedback

Try as many angles as you can the pick the one you like most and the stick to it but don't disregard the rest cause they might just surprise you.
