Location
Taken in Yamaranguila, Honduras while on a mission trip. This lovely basket was made by the Lenca indians from long pine needles. This is how they feed their families by making baskets and selling them This basket was given to me by the young lady who made the basket who lived in the mountains. The basket is maefrom long pie needles.Time
Taken in the afternoon to get the lighting I desired.Lighting
I did a close-up to show of the texture of the pine needles and the colored cordwoven †throughout.Equipment
I used a Canon D7 no tripod or flash, with a Af-S Nikkor 18-105 mm lens.Inspiration
I was inspired by the Lenca indian women weaving their baskets and taking great pride in their work. It was a journey to be remembered for a lifetime.Editing
I cropped the photo closer to better view the texture of the basket. In my camera bag
Right now I have a telescopic lens in my bag with plans to purchase a good macro lens , hopefully in the near future. I also have a flash and tripod. For now the basics.Feedback
This was a still life of a basket. The only suggestion is to be sure you have the lighting that you desire.
