This photo was taken during a walk in the property I work at in the remote south part of Costa Rica.Time
It was one of those days that I felt nothing was going well. To relax and get distracted I decided to take my camera and go for a walk around the big wild property I work for in the end of a quite bad day. As I walked around the huge trees, I see this amazing Ocelot very relaxed using the stick coming from the ground to scratch his neck. it was the most relaxing moment I was having this particular day. In the end it was all I needed to make my day.Lighting
Sometimes it gets quite difficult to shoot in this part of Costa Rica due to the even cloudy weather and the beautiful huge trees around. As the afternoons approach it gets more and more difficult to have a good light. The good thing about this, is that one can play and create a moody ambiance, like the one in this photo, a perfect forest mood, which I am starting to enjoy quite a lot, as a change to the beautiful golden light of the African savannah which I am used to.Equipment
This photo was shot with a Canon 6D mkii and a Tamron 150 - 600mm G2Inspiration
The truth was that in this particular day I wasn't feeling so inspired but grabbed my camera for a walk anyway as the day was not going for the best. I believe that what really inspired me was the moody environment and the precious moment I saw this ocelot. I completely forgot the whole day up to that moment and just enjoyed being in a beautiful place in the presence of this stunning creature.Editing
I like my photo as natural as possible, so I just did some adjustments to contrast and light. In my camera bag

With or without inspiration we just need to go out with the camera and enjoy it. We never know when that moment of inspiration arrives.
