Location
I took this at a group shoot at one of my local photography group meets in South EssexTime
This was taken around 21.00Lighting
We had a two constant light setup to light the beautiful creatures, each around 45° to the side and front of the lizard.Equipment
I used an Olympus Em10 mk 2 with a Olympus 12-50mm lens in macro mode to capture this shot, which gave me half life size then added the inbuilt 2x feature to get a lifesize imageInspiration
I was taken by the beautiful eye of the lizard and wanted to capture it in all it's gloryEditing
I did a small amount of processing, adjusting highlights and shadows and a slight colour boost. All adjustments were done on my tablet using SnapseedIn my camera bag
I normally have Em10 mk 2, 12-50mm lens, 75-300mm lens, 75mm lems, 25mm lens 9mm bodycap lens, godex flash and controller along with batteries, cards, filters etc.Feedback
Be patient with the animals even in controlled conditions and don't crowd them, they will be far more relaxed if you are. Animals sense how you are feeling and can react to that. Take your time and think about what you want before getting too close as you may only be able to get one or two shots. Get your camera ready with settings etc before you start, you may well miss that one special shot if you are too busy changing settings etc on the camera.
