Location
The photo was taken in my studio in Targu Mures, Romania. I am a self taught photographer always looking for new opportunities and experiences.Time
The photo was taken at around 7 PM as I did not want any natural light to affect the photo, which it could easily do due to the large size of the windows of the studio.Lighting
I used only one light source, a beauty dish, as I wanted to put the focus on the subject without creating any distractions that might have appeared in the picture.Equipment
This photo was taken using a Sony A7III, a Sony 135mm f1.8 lens, a beauty dish, and a gray paper background.Inspiration
I had received a cello for a short time for an e-commerce photoshoot, and in the meantime I also happened to have a business photoshoot happening in the course of that time span, so I decided to make the best of both worlds and create this piece. It has been a project I had in mind for quite some time now, and this proved to be the best opportunity to bring it to life.Editing
I used a tethering cable, to be able to save the photo I used Capture One 20, where I modified the picture in the slightest, and then moved to Photoshop where I worked on the light and dark tones. Using Photoshop I also edited the face of the model. In my camera bag
The gear I always have on me are two Sony A7III bodies, a Sony 35mm f1.4 lens for events, a Sony 50mm f1.4 and a Sony 135mm f1.8 for portraits and fashion shoots. A Sony 90mm f2.8 for macro photos.Feedback
The best advice I can give is to connect with your model and work together. Try to eliminate and distance and shyness that might appear, and to also try out many lightning setups, different angles all until you get what you are looking for.
