Behind The Lens

Location
PACT COFFEE on Whyte Ave In Edmonton Alberta Canada
Time
It was around 3pm. The sun was still out.
Lighting
Natural light was beaming through the windows, of which added lots of ambient light. The cafe was also well lit.
Equipment
Canon 5D Mark IV w/ 50mmL 1.2
Inspiration
I was hired to take some photos at this cafe. I had both my cameras on me. One had the 16-35mmL 2.8 for interior shots, the other had the 50mmL 1.2 for details. I always wanted to take cafe photos. Be it my first time, I was very excited. Unfortunately, the owner was not a fan of my post editing. That's okay. I learned so much!
Editing
YES!!! I learned how to make mat black with the curves adjustment layers. Instead of the S curve for Contrast, make a J curve. Makes your blacks have this nice white overlay.
In my camera bag
I bring everything if I am hired for a shoot. Take it all!! Because, their will be a day where you wish you had brought something and didn't.
