Taken in late afternoon with natural sunlinght coming through an open window. A thin sheer over the window helped to create some natural diffusion in the light.Lighting
When I noticed the girl playing, I was hoping to get a shot like this with her looking through one of the windowns in the doll house. It was a bit difficult to catch her as I was laying on the floor to get a more direct look at her face. The lighting was all natural with some minor enhancements in post.Equipment

Vision. This is almost exactly what I invisioned trying to capture. I saw the opportunity when I came upon the subject and immediately surveyed the room for the opportunity. I wanted to capture the innocence of the child at play, in a make believe world of her own.Editing
Some basic proccessing with color and exposure. Darkened the window area some. Also minor sharpening of the face. Less processing was needed with this as compared to the average photo.In my camera bag

When you see something and visualize the image, go for it! Be patient and keep working till your vision becomes reality. WIth this shot it was difficult to catch her face in the window and to catch her looking in the window at the right time. I didn't want to pose her. I wanted it to happen naturally without disturbing her concentration as she played.
