Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken in my family room on a very cold winter day.

Time

This was taken during lunchtime on a weekend.

Lighting

My dog Shiva always looks great in black and white, especially when she gives me sad eyes. Here, she wanted to go outside because it was snowing even though it was freezing so she was laying her head on the couch in an attempt to convince me. I was already wearing my hat so I threw it on her to see if she would move, and she just sat there with the hat on

Equipment

I actually grabbed this shot with my Samsung s20 phone.

Inspiration

Her sad eyes move me every time I see them.

Editing

I converted the image to black and white and added some warm tones to it in Lightroom

In my camera bag

I am moving to mirrorless so I am working towards RF lenses but my favorite EF lens for my dogs that I use often is the Nifty 50

Feedback

Having either a camera on or near me at all times helps because my dogs can do something photos worthy at any given moment.
