Winters in Montana can be rough for a wildlife photographer. Even with the numb fingers, frozen toes, and burning eyes, all discomfort fades after getting a shot that you know you've earned. There's a certain feeling of reward when you're willing to do whatever it takes to document those special moments in nature.
