Behind The Lens

Location

When I took this photo I was in Aosta Valley - Italy - in front of the Mont Blanc Chain, haking whit my snowshoes

Time

It was 1,30 p.m.

Lighting

It was a sunny day and the light was very strong

Equipment

I used my 5DMarkII with a Canon 24-105 lens

Inspiration

I was certainly inspired by the mereveillous scenery in front of my eyes but looking for a good composition, I thought that the traces of my snow shoes would have been good in my shot.

Editing

I turned the photo in black and white for giving more strength to the image and with PS I worked on lighting and curves.

In my camera bag

When I practice hiking in my bag there are two lenses: my Canon 24-105mm. and my Canon 70-200 mm.with a Canon Extender EF 1.4x for animals.

Feedback

For the mountain photography I think it's important to look for a detail making the shot special and not just a simple panoramic photo.
