On this day I decided to drive around town through some of our more historical districts to see what I could find to photograph. I was out of ideas, but I wasn't going to let that stop me from shooting for the day. I came across quite a few very interesting things to shoot that day, it was well worth the trip. This was one of my favorites though. A bright pink, very small building off of the side of the road. The photograph does not exaggerate the color of the building, it really was this bright pink color! It was winter time, cloudy, hazy, gloomy, and cold outside. You can see the trees have no leaves. I wanted to show the stark contrast of the color of the building compared to the gloomy winters day, so I did a selective color edit in Adobe Photoshop with a Sepia toned surrounding. I tried a black and white background, but the sepia tone gave a distinct mood to the image since the building was an older architectural style. The building is also leaning in the image, this is not a mistake, as quite a few buildings such as these tend to lean as they age, so I left it leaning.
