Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo on Doughmore Beach in County Clare. This beach is surrounded by the Doonbeg Golf Links on the Wild Atlantic Way in Ireland. You have to walk across the golf course and interrupt the golfers to get onto the beach. It's worth the risk!

Time

This was taken in the afternoon on an unseasonably warm Irish day. We arrived at the beach when it was dull and windy and by the time we finished our walk the sun was splitting the rocks. A good enough excuse to stay for a picnic!

Lighting

I really love the myriad of colours that seaweed comes in and the lighting was beautiful at that time of day.

Equipment

This was taken on a Canon 6D Mark II with a 24-105mm Sigma lens. No tripod.

Inspiration

The colours, the sunshine and the way the seaweed was piled up.

Editing

I popped it in Photoshop to resize and add my watermark and hey presto!

In my camera bag

Canon 6D Mark II, Sigma 24-105mm and Canon 50mm
