I took this photo at the biggest Rolls-Royce museum in the world! It is in Dornbirn - Austria. The Rolls-Royce museum was opened on the 28th May 1999, its most impressive world-renowned collection being housed in an old spinning mill, built in 1862.Time
I was on a business trip for a workshop. We went every evening to a different place and this museum was one of those places. I wish i could be there earlier but it was evening when we arrived there.Lighting
I didin`t have daylight and the lights of the museum were yellow.I prefer daylight but it was an indoor museum and all the cars were in the building which had 3 flats.Equipment
I used my Canon 550D camera with a 18-135mm lens. I didin`t use flash because i thought reflecting light wouldn`t look nice. I didin`t need a tripod so i just took the shoot in the front of her.Inspiration
I always admired Rollce Royce, especially the story behind it and of course the Spirit of Ectasy. It was like a dream when i first saw it. It was not the little symbol on the front of the car, it was a statue. I had to capture the moment.Editing
I just wanted to see the spirit of ectasy and nothing near her. So i focus on her and first turned the photo from black to white. I dublicate the layer and blurred it completely. Afterwards i just deleted the shape of the spitit of ectasy and had it clearly in the photo. In my camera bag
I have always a Polarizing Filter, UV/Clear/Haze Filter, backup battery, backup memory car and a cleaning set with me.Feedback
Sometimes you don`t have the right light, condition or background. If you want to capture just one object without a background, Shoot it, edit it as you want. There are many ways to edit and ignore the background..at the end you have your object captured on your photo !
