Is this higher than Pike's peak? I just visited Pike's.

Pike's is 14,115 and Mt Elbert is 14,433 feet above sea level, but feels even higher when climbing, lol. Many think Pike's is the highest as that is the one they have heard of, or driven up. I think it is actually # 30 on the 14ers list.

Next time you are in the area, take a drive up Mt. Evans, I think it is a more interesting and beautiful drive, and there usually is a herd of Mountain Goats at the summit
