clicked this in my home town of mangaluru, india.

we waited till afternoon to click this as i needed the overblown highlights from the harsh sunlight to compliment the dark shadows

canon 1dxmkiii with 35mm f 1.4 L II usm lens, hand held

Inspiration

my love for black and white, monochrome photos

Editing

basic editing was done in lightroom and a few tweaks in photoshop. thats all

In my camera bag

always the 1dxmkiii body with 3 lens covering a wide range of photography, 11-24, 24-70 and 70-200 are always in my bag. but for portraits i prefer primes like the 85mm f 1.4 L IS USM and the 35mm f 1.4 L II USM

plan your shoot properly . make sure you click at the right time of day, to get the dark shadows and highlights which is very important.
