The genesis of Oak Alley’s name is apparent. 200 year old oaks form a spectacular 800’ walkway environment, as the oaks meet in a canopy overhead.

Oak Alley Plantation was built in 1839 by Jacques Telesphore Roman on land he bought-traded for from Valcour Aime who was known as the "King of Sugar" and was one of the wealthiest men in all of the south. The mansion was built in the Greek Revival architectural style.

Last time I was there the path was dirt. Wow they have really beautified that path. I saw this view in an Ad last year and was amazed at the bricks.. Nice job of capturing it.
