Behind The Lens

Location

Hawaii

Time

Lighting

The lighting was actualy quite

Equipment

This was shot on a Nikon d750 a tripod and an 24-120mm f4 lens.

Inspiration

This took no inspiration, just time. I hiked for a couple of miles to the base of a waterfall and spent a significant amount of time shooting. This was a shot of patience.

Editing

Minimal. I shoot RAW so there was a little bit of processing to make it more realistic but overall, not much.

In my camera bag

D750 camera, Nikkormat film camera, 24-120 f4 lens, a 35mm 1.8 prime lens, and my telephoto lens. I tend to keep it simple so I can walk further distances.

Feedback

Time and practice. I have been shooting for years now; constantly researching better methods and I always shoot RAW and on manual. I have an image of the final shot before I even shoot it. Because of this I know the exact settings I want before I even shoot. The more you practice the better you get. Even though I am arguably a good photographer I have a lot to learn and am far from where I want to be.
