Lacock Abbey is a place packed with history. It started as an abbey and nunnery, then became a Tudor family home. The last owners were the Talbots, the most famous of which was William Henry Fox Talbot who is credited as being one of the founding fathers of modern photography when he created the first ever photographic negative in 1835. His grave is located in the villageâ€™s cemetery

The photograph was of one of the latticed windows visible down the side of the building. The negative still exists and is archived at the National Science and Media Museum on Bradford

Both the abbey and village are instantly recognisable from a variety of film and television productions, including Harry Potter, Wolf Hall, Cranford, Downton Abbey, Pride and Prejudice and Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald.
