Storytelling Action Portrait Photography. this is a Portrait of an Artist as a Young Woman ( actually the title of another of the photos I took on this day ) taken at my friends smallholding which houses a ride on railway. This young artist is my daughter , taking after an old family tradition and practising her growing skills as a traditional signwriter . This particular locomotive was fashioned after the famous Children's TV character , Ivor the Engine , and built by her young friend and workmate. this was an action shot taken whilst roaming around the workers and trying to capture candid moments of their work and concentration. it was a particularly bright day and the train was unfortunately parked in a spot which received light flare but could not be moved while work progressed. taken from a side angle at a tilted high POV to gain the perspective that created the impression for the viewer of glimpsing on the action around the edge of the object . object in composition.
