Minimalist Landscape - Abstract Impressionist Female Portrait Art Photography. 'Tranquility in Motion', is a landscape telling the story of the natural rythmn of life , both that of Nature and of Women. Taken at sunrise on a local beach , this is a portrait of both the landscape of the coast but the motion of the tides and the central framing of the model ( my eldest daughter caught during a morning walk in the gently rolling tide ) also create a representation of womanhood , the cyclical dimension of a woman's physical life and her bond to nature , and the freedom , tranquillity and power that can be achieved by embracing the characteristics of the Female Self. The gentle colour of the dawn combined with the minimalistic choices in the seascape all add to the feeling of mindfulness and the balanced juxtaposition of stillness and motion in the subjects featured in the image. The photograph was shot looking into the rising sun and from a low pov at a tilted angle to the tide to produce undulating leading lines and a gentle bokeh flare of light on the water adding to the abstract symbolism of imagery. All of the elements create a feeling of hope , light , calmness and positivity mingled with a sense of purpose and liberty ,the figure moves forward heading in a direction in the future off frame but the viewer is encouraged to feel that they are heading to a future that is bright.
