Behind The Lens

Location

This was taken in the small pond along Golf Links Drive in the Townsville suburb of Kirwan, on a rainy day.

Time

Taken about 11 am but the time was not really relevant here because there was 100% Cloud Cover. So just that it was during the day.

Lighting

Lighting, well unusual for Sunny Townsville, North Queensland, where we get about 320 days of Sunshine. Yes, a rare Rainy day!

Equipment

This was taken in PRO mode on the Huawei P30 Pro, as it was the only camera that I had on hand at the time. Took about 50 - 100 photographs on the day, with about 10% being unusable. No monopod or Flash made allowances for light by adjusting the ISO value!

Inspiration

Driven by this little pond many, many times, and not having the time to stop and take pictures. It will not be the last time. Was on a day when I did not have much planned, and a spare of the moment thing as I was driving past. Did a U-turn, parked, and in the Rain went and took a few photographs. I love Nature and flowers like Lillies are a personal favorite of mine.

Editing

Post, no Nothing!

In my camera bag

DSLR 4800W (Finepix), 4 x (Spare) AA batteries, Note Pad and Pencil, Small Tripod, Large Tripod, Lens Cleaning Cloth, small spirit level.

Feedback

Be ready to take photographs at any time. Make mental or written notes of places to explore when you find a little spare time. Then revisit when able. Take many pictures, you can then go through them later and delete what you do not need. Experiment, Always Experiment, as this photographic journey is a continuous learning experience.
