I took this photo on a trip to Badlands National Park in South Dakota.

Lighting

It was a beautiful sunny morning.

Equipment

Canon EOS 7D with a Canon Lens EF-S 15-85mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM @ 15.0 mm.

Inspiration

I was inspired by the contrast between a beautiful sunny day and the tragedy of someone losing a farm and their livelihood.

Editing

Shot RAW. I adjusted the light/contrast, sharpened. I used layering in photoshop to add textures, dust and scratches to give it that old, discarded look.

In my camera bag

I use only Canon equipment EOS70D, EOS80D. 3 zoom lenses. 100-400mm. 28-135 mm. 18-55mm. Manfrotto tripod. Manfrotto Backpack 50. B+H ND Filter 8x.
