Behind The Lens

Location

I always have my camera and tripod with me when traveling, on my way home a passed this windmill and I really enjoyed the clouds and reflections.

Time

Golden hour before sunset always is my favorite time to shoot photos, especially when there is water en no wind.

Lighting

When driving home the clouds and beautiful colors immediately drew my attention.Especially when there is no wind, so the reflections make the image even more beautiful.

Equipment

This photo was taken with a Nikon D500 with a 10-24 mm lens.

Inspiration

As a landscape photographer, I am always looking for these special images with typical Dutch scenery, when in The Netherlands,.

Editing

Landscape post processing can be time consuming, but for this image that wasn't particular the case. However I did use graduated filters, because the difference between the water en sky was too much.

In my camera bag

Nowadays, I always have a PeakDesign Tripod, Nikon D850, 12-24 mm wide angle lens and a 24-70mm lens and a NiSi filter set.

Feedback

When in The Netherlands and you love landscape you should definitely go to forests and the polders in the western part of the country.
