This photo was taken in Tucson, ArizonaTime
This was taken at mid-day. I remember I wasn't to happy I left my Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 L lens at the house, so I used what I had with me; Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8 L. I ended up taking the photo knowing I would have to crop in during post production. When I got to work on the image i liked the effect the crop produced.Lighting
I wasn't a good day, the light was dull, it was overcast, mid-day, and the blooms were tucked away in the shade; but you work with what you got....Equipment
This was shot using: Camera: Canon 5d MK III Lens: EF 24-70mm f/2.8 L (1/400 sec at f/2.8, ISO 100) Misc: Benro Tripod and a Colorado Tripod Co Ball HeadInspiration
I really liked the look of the blooms all clustered together, it was very abstract in my mind...of course forgetting the Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 L caused me to take the photo maybe a little differently (Knowing that I would need to crop in post).Editing
I used Adobe Light Room, I cropped the photo, slight adjustment to the temperature, worked on the shadows slightly, not a lot.In my camera bag
My camera bag is an F-stop Loki (or Guru) I always have my 5dmkIII, the trinity of lenses (24-70 / 70-200 / 15-35) and either the Sigma 100-400mm or the 150-600mm depending on what Im going to shoot. I use a Benro Tripod (TMA47AVL, Colorado Tripod Co Ball Head, Assorted filters, spare batteries, cards, lens clothes, snacks, jacket, headlamp, compass, and map.Feedback
This was such a "luck" photo, I was in a spot where I could capture the bloom, I was lucky enough that the lens I used is alway tack sharp; which allowed me to zoom in during post processing.
