Location
This shot was taken in my backyard in our flowerbed.Time
I was able to take this photograph shortly after sunrise, the golden hour.Lighting
The lighting on this particular early morning was perfect with minimal shadowing. The sky was clear, and because the sun was just coming up I used "direct lighting" (the sun was behind me).Equipment
The camera that I used as my old Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX400V.Inspiration
My wife and I both love roses. The particular colors of this rose are my wife's favorite colors.Editing
I did very little post-processing/editing. I added a little sharpness for clarity, took away a small amount of saturation, and adjusted the Vignette around the outside of the rose.In my camera bag
I normally take along my Sony Alpha a6100 Mirrorless, my old Sony DSC-HX400V Cyber Shot, as well as my 16-50mm and my 55-210 lenses. In addition I bring along spare batteries, spare memory cards, lens cleaning wipes, and a tripod.Feedback
Take several photos from various angles, positions, and with various settings to get the perfect shot.
