Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken from my apartment in Kuwait (middle east).Im self taught and this is done with my Huawei P30 mobile.

Time

This was midday. I walked pass my living room that had these really huge size windows and saw this storm approaching and immediately saw an opportunity for a potential outstanding shot.

Lighting

As it was that the skies outside was already becoming very quickly overcast and grey with deep dark angry clouds. The amount of light outside was minimal but brighter than that of inside the apartment.I closed all the curtains in the apartment to try and get it as dark as possible.

Equipment

I shot it on a Huawei P30 with a Leica Vario Summilux Lens. Tripod.

Inspiration

The start of a storm in the sky especially with the two toned clouds got me very intrigued at what that end result would be like.

Editing

I normally do all and if any editing on the Adobe Lightroom platform. Even though the skies was dark and grey it still was bright from what sunlight was piercing through the clouds.I used clarity, contrasting, detail, luminance Shot it with a wide angle to capture everything below and used a long exposure to also capture the dark clouds in the sky.

In my camera bag

I have only recently started taking pics with a DSLR since i've been always considered myself to be a mobile street photographer. Now I have a Canon 800D with a built in 35mm-50mm. Normally I have a : tripod flash charger power bank waterproof cover

Feedback

The moment happens very quickly. You must see the potential of your pic in your mind before you see it through your lens. Seize the moment at all times
