This photo was taken in Brighton, during a walk on the promenade after a rainy day, in the middle of lockdownTime
It was early afternoon. It was chilly as it was one of those rare sunny day during the winter months, but the sunshine was a real mood booster and made everything crystal clear and perfectLighting
The sunshine was amazing that day. Surely, it must be because is so rare and precious on the UK, and it was even more important because it was in the middle of the pandemic. The rain puddles suddenly were no longer depressing, but vibrant with the reflected colours of the beach huts, and shining with the reflections if the sunbeams...Equipment
This was taken with my Nikon D3000. It's quite an old camera, hut it has a sentimental value and has been my faithful companion for yearsInspiration
As I walked on the promenade, I felt like the city itself was telling me there was hope. Sure, everything was closed and so uncertain, but there was the sun, and pretty water puddles reflecting all the beautiful colours. It just hit me, like an epiphany: it's never really over, you just need to look carefully and you will find your bright colours. If you look hard enough, you can even double them ;)Editing
The colours were so bright that day that the photo didn't really require much post processing. I only augmented contrast and saturation by a couple of points, straightened it, and it was sorted. In my camera bag
My equipment is pretty simple. I just carry my Nikon D3000 and my lens, a nikkor 18-200 af-s dx. Sometimes I also have my tripod.Feedback
There is beauty everywhere. You just have to breathe, listen to yourself and look around: you will see it, it's there, waiting for you.
