A few months ago I saw a video on TikTok about this park and thought it looked super cool with the row of trees that I wanted to take photos of it with snow. On February 2, just a few days after we got some snow I decided to head over to the park bright and early. I didn’t know too much about the park before I got there and fell in love with it right away. I saw the signs and read wooden plaques there to learn the history of the park.

Daniel’s Peace Memorial Park was named in honor after Daniel Weidle who passed away back in December 2015 from battling opioid addiction. His family would help front passing “Daniel’s Law” in December 2018. After his passing Daniel’s family converted his favorite spot that he use to hunt, fish and so on, into a public place to find peace and refuge. Let me tell you it was such a beautiful area. Even with the freezing temperature when I was there that morning there was also just a sense of peace. I highly recommend coming here if you need to get away from your struggles and just breath. I found this rose lying in the snow at the entrance when I got there.
